Mav Milt is a sound designer with a special interest in audio illusions. His experience in sound design has given him insights into audio phenomena such as phantom speech illusions, of which he has created some of his own.
Born into a globetrotter family in Brisbane Queensland Australia in 1985, Mav Milt always had a unique passion for learning about sound, different cultures and their various forms of spoken languages. He would often travel to many different countries where it was his habit to learn the local dialects. His curiosity for the sounds of speech has inspired him to pursue further learning of languages. So, in 2019 he enrolled in the online platform Udemy to learn more about linguistics.
Mav Milt’s complementary passion for sound design also began in his childhood. He would often be seen tinkering with his dad’s musical equipment and audio processing gear to not only understand how they work but to understand sound itself.
Over the years of experimentation, Mav Milt decided to combine his passion for languages with his knowledge of sound, to create works of art of his own. When he’s not fiddling with audio synthesizers, you may find him learning about the latest in audio science.
